There’s an old Swedish saying

There’s an old Swedish saying that if you pick seven different kinds of flowers and put them under the pillow on Midsummer’s Eve, you will dream of Mr Right. Well, I think I’ve already found him.

Gustav picked more than seven different types of flowers (it was at least ten) and gave them to me yesterday without me even asking. Now there’s a keeper :*

The past weeks have been eventful

The past weeks have been eventful. Claes, my research partner, and I have presented our master’s thesis both at our employer and at the University. So now I’m pretty much an engineer.

My apartment packed with moving boxes
The chaos of my apartment.

Yesterday, I was packing up my apartment into boxes. It felt a bit sad to see your (material) life contained in a couple of boxes. But on the other hand, it was nice today waking up knowing that almost everything had been moved from the apartment. Now only the cleaning is left.

Helping with the move, apart from my parents and Linnea, was Lindell, my longtime friend with whom I moved to Linköping five years ago. It was a nice ending of my time in Linköping (for this time), having the same person helping me move out now

Looking forward, in one month I will have experienced a lot of exciting situations. The big ones being: I will have been in Zurich for the first time in my life, I will be in Australia, I will have flown over Asia for the first time.

Overall, I haven’t had a chance to process the changes in my life. But I’m excited! I’m looking forward to sharing these experiences with Linnea and you, our friends and family.

Sunny regards,
Gustav

I spent the first week of summer vacation at the summer house in Småland. So incredibly nice after a packed and hectic semester at the university.

Swedish vs English

Inte ett helt lätt dilemma, det här med vilket språk man ska skriva på. I den senaste bloggen jag drev skrev jag varje inlägg på både svenska och engelska, men det tar evigheter att göra…

So unless my Swedish speaking friends protest loud and clear that they want me to write the posts in Swedish as well, I’m going to stick to English this time. Starting from this post.

Over time, you’ll notice that even if I try to write in Swedish I tend to mix in a lot of English words. Don’t really think my time in Australia will make me talk less Swenglish 😉

Anyway, that’s what’s on my mind at the moment. Puss och kram, see you soon!
